		<description>Um, additionally, I know it&#039;s not fair, but, because the first thing I saw him in was The Driver, Dern will never be able to live down that &quot;Cowboy Desperado&quot; shit; in other words, Dern cannot be sexy.  It would be like watching Deliverance, then trying to find Ned Beatty sexy.  I&#039;m sorry.  I understand that&#039;s not his fault that his character is portrayed in a shitty way (or, shit-upon, perhaps, in Beatty&#039;s case?) but it doesn&#039;t make that image go away.  Cowboy Desperado!</description>

And Dern&#039;s character is a total nutbag, whilst Voight&#039;s character is more approachable in his mental and physical brokenness.  Plus, from a feminist perspective, Dern&#039;s character is appalling... with all that nonsense whining about &quot;but I don&#039;t *want* you to work.&quot;  Whine, whine, whine.
